Let me support you or your team to grow…

What I offer

Starting my career working in family intervention services, I have continued to train and grow as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker - currently supporting a private practice in Maitland, NSW as a Practice Partner and Therapist at Seva House.

Proud to have worked externally with Australian Universities in a supervisor and tutor capacity, I hold a passion for supporting clinicians developing and honing their therapeutic skills. My own therapeutic work extends to supporting victims of crime to recover and heal - social justice being a value I hold close to my heart and a value I enjoy sharing with like-minded practitioners.

I am experienced in working with child protection matters, violence, abuse and complex trauma; holding positions in NSW Health, NSW and QLD Education and the NGO sector. The positions I held were inclusive of child protection counselling, child and family casework, case management and a School Counsellor in an alternative education setting as well as working in the homelessness sector with CALD women and children as refugees and migrants.

I hold a special interest in supporting those impacted by adoption, out-of-home care and interpersonal violence and work with individuals across the lifespan (young children, teens, adults and families).

Through working with modalities such as EMDR (as an EMDRAA Accredited Consultant) and Clinical Resource Therapy (as a Clinical Resource Therapist and Trainer), I enjoy the creativity of incorporating Attachment-Based Therapy and Somatic Interventions - a must when working with developmental and complex trauma.

This has led to the framework developed by myself and my colleague Michele Bowes best known as Relational-Integrative EMDR - working with relational trauma.

Will I Benefit From Clinical Supervision & Consultation

Are you a case manager, therapist, school counsellor or family practitioner looking to grow your skill set and understanding of therapeutic approaches?

Perhaps you are wanting advice or guidance to understand client ‘resistance’, complex issues such as developmental trauma or ideas as to how to work with children in the therapy room. With my hands-on, practical experience and passion for further training and education - I can tailor my supervision and EMDR Consultation sessions to meet your needs and most importantly improve client engagement and therapeutic outcomes.

A note for Clinicians working towards EMDR Accreditation with EMDRAA - consultation hours towards your application as a Full Member, Accredited Practitioner or Consultant must be with an EMDRAA Accredited Consultant.

More information can be found here on the EMDRAA website - Accreditation FAQ’s.
